How can we help?
Answers for ezWhiteBoard on Mac, iPhone, and iPad
- Find your board on Mac
- Click the ezWhiteBoard icon in the menu bar, or press ⌃⌥⌘W. Right-click the menu-bar icon for more actions, including Quit. ezWhiteBoard lives in the menu bar, so it has no Dock icon.
- Name a board
- Type into Name your board… near the top. You can change the name at any time.
- Change the glass
- Open the More menu, choose Appearance & about, then move Glass opacity. If Reduce Transparency is on in your system settings, the board is solid.
- Resize, pin, or tuck on Mac
- Drag the window edges, or choose a shape from More, then Board shape. The pin keeps the board above other apps (⌃⌥⌘P). The top-edge button tucks it away (⌃⌥⌘T); click the tab to bring it back.
- Use voice
- Tap Dictate for a short thought, or Live to keep listening. Allow Microphone and Speech Recognition when asked. On-device recognition has to support your current language and device; if it doesn't, the app says so and nothing is recorded. Tap Stop to finish.
- Move a board to another device
- Choose Export board, send the .ezboard file with AirDrop, Files, or another service you choose, then use Import in ezWhiteBoard on the other device. This is a manual transfer, not automatic sync.
- Bring in notes from an older version
- Use Import and choose your old text file. The original file is not changed.
- If you see a save error
- Keep the app open and export your work first. Don't delete the app's storage as a first step. Then contact us with the message you saw.

Please don't send private board content or audio. We won't need it to help.
