ezWhiteBoard Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026

ezWhiteBoard stores your boards and preferences on your device. The app does not require an account and does not contain advertising, analytics, or a CoryBuilt cloud service. CoryBuilt does not receive your board content through the app.

Voice input

The microphone is used only when you start Dictate or Live and grant permission. Speech recognition is required to run on your device. If on-device recognition is unavailable for your language or device, voice input is unavailable. The app does not save audio recordings. Transcribed text becomes part of the board you are editing and is saved locally with that board.

You can stop transcription within the app at any time. Hiding or tucking the Mac board stops the microphone. Sending the iPhone or iPad app to the background stops it. You can revoke Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions in your device's system settings.

Files, exports, and backups

Exported files are saved to destinations you choose. Those destinations, any sharing services you use, and operating-system backups have their own privacy practices.

The app keeps a recovery copy of previously saved board data. Deleting a board may leave its previous content in that recovery copy until a later save replaces it. Removing the app's stored data removes its local copies. Files you exported separately and system backups remain under your control.

Data we collect

None through the app. ezWhiteBoard has no developer-operated server, so there is nothing for us to collect, sell, or share.

This website

ezwhiteboard.io is a static website. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site. Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes standard technical request data, such as IP addresses, in server logs to deliver and protect the site.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and we use it only to reply.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If the app's behavior changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships.
